Shannon McArdle: Summer of the Whore (Bar/None)

Shannon McArdle: Summer of the Whore (Bar/None) - After the breakup of her marriage and band (Mendoza Line) Shannon McArdle returns to the music scene. When she sings "I know I've done some damage, but I'm not through," she’s not only referring to the guy she calls "honey," but about taking control of her life.  Airy detached vocals reveal the turmoil within as atmospheric guitar and slyly twangy productions deliver her "soft spoken message of love". It’s a haunting album of moody textures and rich melody.  Recommended.
